Hey guys! I’m Matt. I’m twenty-one years old, and I attend Vassar College (Yale for women) as a media studies and English double major because I want to get a job writing and editing for magazines for a living. I was born in the Philippines and moved to Las Vegas in 2003. I now spend most of my year in New York, splitting my time between Vassar and Manhattan.
Professionally, I am an intern and blogger for Out and a columnist for Side B. Previously, I have been a contributing editor and the social media editor for The Miscellany News, a features intern at Town & Country, an editorial intern at Details, the assistant to the Chair of Dance at Vassar, and one of two house fellow interns for Emma Hartman Noyes House at Vassar.
Additionally, I am a dancer and choreographer for the Vassar Repertory Dance Theatre and the Vassar FlyPeople. I am also a Philaletheis Award nominee for my role in Sarah Ruhl’s The Clean House, and received critical acclaim for my performance in Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party. I have not yet guest starred on Law & Order.
I entertain a lot of passions, which include, but are not limited to: writing (both fiction and nonfiction), magazine editorial, dancing (ballet, jazz, Graham, and contemporary*~), singing (often transposed Beyoncé ballads), reading, video games (Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda), and graphic design. Also social media! Find me at these outlets.
